What Makes Us Different?

No profile pictures - they only hurt your odds

That’s right. Whether you are attractive or not, they only hurt your odds. Even a single profile picture can throw off a person’s perception of you. We prefer to focus on personality over shallow physical qualities.
This benefits both the attractive and the unattractive, as the attractive will not be swarmed by people who only care about looks, and the unattractive will have the opportunity to show their personality.

We’re not about hookups

So, you’ve tried other websites, and it seems like people only care about one thing - besides good looks. You’re not like that. You like to take things slow. We’re here for you.
If you are looking for an actual relationship, and not just a quickie, this website can help.

We encourage honesty

Simple as that, be honest about yourself. Trust us, you are not as bad as you think you are.

We weed out the assholes

Just as the point system encourages interactivity, it also discourages rude behavior. As accounts only have a limited number of messages they can send out without getting a reply from other users, if you simply ignore (and report) users who are being disrespectful, they will eventually exhaust their points and be unable to talk to any more users. We have other mechanisms to keep the trolls at bay, too.
However, if you are looking for a guy who is not very nice, and only cares about looks, may we suggest Tinder?

We encourage interactivity

We get it, it’s scary to talk to people. That’s why we have the Q/A section, where you can post a question anonymously and let others reply to you. It’s a great way to break the ice. Trust us, just try it. We will be adding other icebreakers soon. We also award points for replies, so users make more of an effort to write meaningful messages.

Limits on Ads

We don’t want to blast you with people telling you what to do. You will only see ads in a few limited places. Look up, now look down. Now look back here again. Do you see any ads? Neither do we. Although, if you do see any ads on this page, you might have a virus. Better get that checked out by a computer doctor, or whatever computers have.

Passwords

Our password system is… a little different. We have an unusual password set-up so that you create a password that is easy to remember, hard to guess, and unusable on any other website.
Also, we don’t encrypt any information, so please DO NOT USE THIS PASSWORD ANYWHERE ELSE. We are still working on that.

Gender Equality

We believe everyone has the right to find someone they love, and we do support equal rights. (Take that! Christianmingle!) It not only makes sense from a moral standpoint, it also makes sense from a business standpoint. Or it would if we were in the business of business. The point is, everyone here is welcome regardless of race, gender, identity, or sexual preference. But if you are transgender, we do ask that you identify yourself so that we can match you with people who are more open minded, and won’t mind something extra or something missing as long as you have a good personality.

Privacy Concerns

We do not ask for names, or any information that may identify you other than email. However, because we are still in beta, we can make no assurances that any information you post or messages you send on this website can remain confidential. Be cautious about what you post, and do not post anything that can identify you, reveal your phone number, or reveal your specific location.
